OUR MISSION: To help youth be safe, supported, and successful

MEET BECKHAM

At the age of 18, Beckham was living in a car with his mother and two teenage siblings when he met one of

our Street Outreach team members, Emmy. Despite the instability surrounding him, Beckham held onto his

goals. He kept a steady job and earned his high school diploma while participating in our Street Outreach

program. As Beckham worked with staff, he showed a steady resolve. With Emmy’s guidance, he applied

for and received a Section 8 housing voucher and connected with a landlord who offered his entire family

the chance to start fresh in a stable home.

“Emmy’s been very helpful. I’m grateful that I met her because, honestly, I don’t know where I’d be if I had

never asked for help.”

In the two years since, Beckham has continued to grow. He is now working full-time to support his family and

has joined Haven House’s Youth Advisory Board, where he uses his voice and experience to advocate for

youth facing homelessness. We are proud to see him building the future he envisions.

Together, the 12 local executives participating
